The Lagere Unit , Ile-Ife of Orisun Ibukun Multipurpose Cooperative Society accumulated a total of 40 points to defeat other counterparts from other units across the State. The Lagere Unit under the leadership of Idowu Saheed Omotayo has reaffirmed the dominance of Ile-Ife as the cradle of Yoruba race, and as contained in one of their songs ( Olori aye n'Ife Ooye... ) In addition, Ile-Ife Units were ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd ( Lagere Ile-Ife , Ife City Ile-Ife and Abe-igi Ondo Road , Ile-Ife who shared the third place with an Ijesha Unit - Iroye respectively)for the month of June according to the table made available on the official website of the society - orisunibukunmcs.com among over 80 units of the society.
